The earliest favorite book of mine that I can remember was A Drop of Blood. And of course as a teenager I loved Gödel, Escher, Bach, and The Emperor's New Mind. It ;s a little kids book that tells you about your blood, the three kinds of blood cells, and stuff like that. I don't know a whole lot about the book — Penrose is a physicist, I think.
